The Community Journey Group meets on Tuesdays, 11:00-12:00, in the Haywood Street sanctuary. It is led by Associate Pastor, Mark Siler, and follows the traditional Benedictine practice of Lectio Devina. This practice focuses on reading, meditation, prayer, and contemplation. It is less about the study of Scripture and more about allowing Scripture to be felt.
Prayers, songs and liturgy are pulled from Common Prayer: A Liturgy for Ordinary Radicals. Scripture is read three times, allowing for varying degrees of reflection.
Community Journey Group offers a wonderful way to feel your faith and feel the love of the Haywood Street family.
We hope to see you there.
