I remember tent revivals, the whole experience. Helping drive stakes, lining up stacks and stacks and stacks of chairs. The squeaky stage and wailing speakers… Under those rented canvas roofs, there was a spirit of anticipation and conviction. We slid our blue jeans onto stiff steel chairs, for once, not planning on staying in our seats. Haywood Street takes me back to those old time revivals in Dundee, FL. Arriving, knowing that the spirit is alive, present, and more unpredictable than a dirt road ride in the back of your best friend’s pickup truck.
Working at Haywood Street is the Hallelujah I’ve been longing for…
God be praised,
