Become a ‘Friend of Golf for Awareness’
- We began distributing Downtown Welcome Table meals to-go. From March thru July, nearly 25,000 boxed meals have been distributed.
- The service definition for Haywood Street Respite was expanded to enable medically vulnerable homeless individuals to shelter in place.
- God’s Outfitters’ companions (volunteers) began fulfilling requests for clothing and personal care items on a contact-less basis.
- Semi-permanent tents were installed to provide outdoor meeting space for recovery and other groups supporting mental health and wellness.
YOUR GIFT WILL HELP MAKE CONTINUED PROGRAMMING POSSIBLE. $100+ CONTRIBUTIONS WILL BE RECOGNIZED ON ‘FRIENDS OF HAYWOOD ST. SIGNAGE’ AT THE EVENT. THANK YOU!
The Golf for Awareness this year will employ social distancing strategies. Players must register and pay on-line in advance. Lunch will be served in individual golf carts and scores will be sent out by e-mail after the event. EVERY EFFORT WILL BE MADE TO ENSURE THIS IS A SAFE AND FUN EVENT!!
