Spiritual food is always on the menu at Haywood Street, but the Downtown Welcome Table is all about filling hungry stomachs too! Stacy was our lead chef last week and presided over the preparation of this colorful meal of baked chicken, asparagus, carrots, potatoes, and bread. We are serving about 400 guests each week now, and there is no way this could be done without the willing hands of the countless Companions who pitch in to help all during the week. Thanks too for the generosity of Trader Joe’s, many downtown restaurants, and many others who work behind the scenes and donate both time and money to make everything come together on Wednesdays. It is indeed a labor of love!
