Everything about Haywood Street is special. It’s probably the most special place ever. There is unbridled generosity, massive amounts of dignity, overwhelming grace, an attitude of gratitude coming from all directions and a hugely warm sense of belonging. Everyone here feels like they belong here, from what I’ve observed, pretty much everyone here feels at place and they feel good about themselves and they feel good about the people they’re around when they’re here, and it feels like a break from the outside world. It feels so different than any other place you go.
