A HAYWOOD REFLECTION FROM MEGAN:

Dear Haywood Street Family,

As I reflect over the past year all I can think is where has the time gone. It feels like just yesterday that it was my first Welcome Table as the Companion Coordinator Intern, now this past Sunday was my last in that role. Through the last year, I have grown so much and had the ability to discover my passion.

Haywood Street has continually pushed me outside of my comfort zone and made me a better version of myself.  I have so much gratitude to each member of the Haywood Street family for welcoming me with open arms, and for the impact each of you has had on my experience.

I have found a second home, and family at Haywood Street. The unconditional love for all people is so easily felt within the walls, the acceptance of everyone, and the willingness to meet people where they are is humbling.

I am forever changed in the best possible way because of Haywood Street. I feel so blessed and honored to have had the opportunity to work with our amazing volunteers, and staff.

Thank you for welcoming me into the Haywood Street community, and please know that I’ll still be around because you can’t get rid of me that easily!

With so much love,
Megan
