WELCOME FROM HAYWOOD STREET:UPDATES:A small, rotating group of staff and Companions are now serving three meals per week at the Downtown Welcome Table! Every Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday, Friends are invited to pick up a home-made meal to go.What we do know is that hand washing with sudsy, soapy water is the best way to keep ourselves and each other healthy. We also know that everyone deserves access to this most basic self-care step.

While we were looking at creating our own outdoor systems with buckets and spigots, Buncombe County Emergency Services offered Haywood Street a free-standing hand washing station. We quickly took them up on this offer.

We now have TWO outdoor sinks, fully serviced and available 24 hours a day. Our friends at AHOPE and ABCCM also have stations nearby. The city intends to place 7 more around town, so be on the lookout and let our Friends know!

Thank you Mountain Xpress for featuring The Haywood Street Fresco this week! More…

We are standing in solidarity with our partner restaurants who are having to fighting to keep their establishments afloat. Click here to learn more and join the movement. Additionally, this ADA post provides a number of resources and ways you can support small businesses during this time.
