WELCOME FROM HAYWOOD STREET:

UPDATES:

As of yesterday, there is no longer a donation bin on the Haywood Street
campus. In its place, there are now two off-site bins: Covenant
Presbyterian (789 Merrimon Ave.) and Biltmore United Methodist
(376 Hendersonville Rd.). We will continue to accept donations in the
Haywood Street clothing closet on Tuesdays from 10-12 and Sundays from
2-4. Drive around back and enter through the last white door. A tax receipt
can be provided. Please do not leave donations on the ground outside. Thank
you!

What a Wednesday with partner restaurant, Wicked Weed, leading the
way! We give thanks for their beautiful meal and wonderful fellowship.

Today we give praise and remembrance for the life of Ronnie, long-time
friend of Haywood Street who passed this Thursday, May 17. Ronnie
touched many lives and we give thanks for all the ways he touched ours.

A HAYWOOD STREET REFLECTION BY: DAMON

Q. How old were you when you first started coming to Haywood Street?
A. I think I was about eight years old/ I’m eleven now.
Q. You help in so many ways at Haywood Street? Which way is your favorite?
A. I like helping in the dining room. It’s just a lot of fun to me.
Q. If you could only use one word to describe Haywood Street, what word would you choose?

A. Excellent.
Q. What is your favorite memory, so far, of Haywood Street?
A. Hanging out with Emily (Haywood Street’s former Companion Coordinator). She’s so cool and she used to tutor me and give me different options of things I could do here. And she always had my back.
