WELCOME FROM HAYWOOD STREET:

UPDATES:

On Tuesday, Lisa Knollman and a number of Haywood Street
Companions hosted another Big Pink Purse event at Haywood Street.
This is a joyous time, when the women of our community are served a
meal and gifted with a purse abundantly filled with toiletries and beauty
products. Our gratitude to all those who participated.
Wednesday’s Welcome Table meal was served up by our good friends
at Vinnie’s Neighborhood Italian. Thank you, Vinnie’s!
Our sincerest gratitude to volunteers from BB&T and Keller Williams who
came out for our spring-time campus-wide workday!
Although this Diana Wortham show is not until August 4th, tickets are on
sale now and going to go fast! This multi-act, community concert is a
benefit for the Haywood Street Fresco. Read all about it here!
Thank you to all who came out to celebrate the life of Kyle and to
support those who continue to love him. You may view his beautiful eulogy
here, and if called, you may make a donation in his name here. (all
donations support the The Downtown Welcome Table)

A HAYWOOD STREET REFLECTION FROM: AMPLIFIED MEDIA

On March 26, John Fleer hosted the third annual “A Seat at the Table” fundraiser, all proceeds benefiting the Downtown Welcome Table. Rhubarb, Karen Donatelli Bakery, Katie Button Restaurants, Vinnie’s Neighborhood Italian, Benne on Eagle, and Aux Bar lpresented an incredible, multi-course spread. Wicked Weed Brewing was, again, our generous presenting sponsor. The evening brought in over $85,000, and this year, honored the contributions of Amy Gaston and Rick Guthy by presenting the Liz Button Full Plate Fund in their names. We give thanks to every chef, sponsor, auction item provider, guest and volunteer who made it all happen. And we give thanks to Amplified Media for capturing a bit of the evening’s magic in this beautiful video.
