WELCOME FROM HAYWOOD STREET:

UPDATES:

As we continue to add and modify programming, we’ll update THIS LINK, easily found on our homepage!

Help spread the word about warm weather gear! And remember, Haywood Street is hosting a winter coat and boots drive throughout the month of October. Items can be dropped off on Tuesdays from 10am-12pm (drive around back, enter the white door, and please wear a mask!).

In this WLOS clip, Wayne (Haywood Street Mercy League staff member) speaks on the importance of having a home. You can click here to learn more about the Haywood Street Community Development.

ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. A service honoring the life of Haywood Street friend, Bruce Abshire, will be held tomorrow, October 17, at 1:00 beneath the tents. All are invited to attend.

2. We are now offering, for staff and companions, a weekly contemplative gathering via Zoom on Tuesday evenings at 7:00 pm. These times of contemplative prayer, reflection, Lectio, etc. are led by Carlene and will offer us a time to quiet ourselves to listen for the wooing of the Holy Spirit.

A HAYWOOD VIDEO FEATURING: KELLY & MS. MARY

Two weeks from now, Ms. Mary will be making (alongside companions and staff) her famous “Ms. Mary’s Meatloaf” — one of the most loved and cherished meals shared by the Haywood Street community. Let’s take a look back at this StoryShare video which highlights Mary and Kelly and reminds us of the lifelong friendships that form when food happens. Relationship, above all else!
