In all of my travels across this nation, I have never see a place quite like the Haywood Street Respite. The diverse group of staff and volunteers are genuinely kind-hearted people. The compassion and empathy shown by these wonderful individuals truly express the goals and mission of the place I temporarily call home. They strive to provide us with a safe and comforting place to recover from our ailments. The help they provide, often going above and beyond, creates a restorative environment and a strong sense of belonging. These amazing souls have helped me and many others like me and for this I cannot thank you all enough.
